My best friend at school, Amy, has a daughter who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last year. Seeing as my dad has Type 1 also, Amy confided in me throughout the journey. When we chat, I understand some of the trials she goes through.
Amy's best friend outside of school, Jaime, has a son who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes just two weeks ago. Crazy... The above picture is of Grayson and Charlotte (the two kids with diabetes) in black shirts, and Grayson's brother Simon.
Eric is the best. What can I say?
Here's our team! All of the college kids on the end are in the music fraternity at UTArlington. Amy's husband, Ken, is a jazz musician and teacher there.
Aaaaannnnd, we're off! (We missed the start last year...)
This is my favorite picture ever! Last year at this time, Amy was still grappling with this HUGE life change. This year, she's a rock star!
