Meet Emmanuel

Emmanuel is our child who just graduated from Hope Academy in Ghana. He grew up at the Village of Hope and is now in high school. Actually, he earned the highest honors on his final examinations! Eric and I are supporting him in his high school education.

Here's what Chelsea, who works at VOH, said about Emmanuel:

Emmanuel is getting ready to head off to school next week for the first time. I can tell he is both a bit excited and nervous. He will be attending the oldest and one of the most prestigious high schools in Ghana! They are currently trying to get all of the items that he will need for his school. As the schools are having to build new dorm blocks to accomodate the incoming class of students, they are required to bring crazy things like bags of cement and buckets of paint along with the other school related items needed.

He'll be in 10th grade this year. His birthday is April 2, 1992, so he's 18. The way high schools work in Ghana is that they are boarding schools. So, he won't be living at the Village of Hope, but he'll come back on holidays.

Eric and I are so excited to correspond with Emmanuel this year. I can't wait to see how God will work in his life!
