On our way home...

We stopped in Danville, Illinois to visit one of Eric's college buddies, Jesse, and his sweet wife Dacy. Dacy cooked us a traditional Chinese meal. Mmmmmm....Then we went to one of their friends' houses to watch fireworks.

Eric HAD to drive past Wiener Works. He heard the jingle many times in his college dorm room form the White brothers.
After our nice overnight visit, we drove through Missouri...
...saw this cool sign -- like it, Dad?
... and made it to Arkansas!
We drove through the night and apparently through a plague of bugs. I mean, it sounded like it was raining outside! Gross!
We stayed with our friends Mandy and Nate (sorry, no pic!), and left the next morning after some yummy chocolate chip muffins.

Since we were back in Sonic-land, we had to commemorate the occasion!
...and due to construction, the "Welcome to Texas" sign was gone...so we took a picture anyway.
Next stop: Ghana, West Africa!
